Great GPU for my build, need help!

What is a good graphics card that goes with my build and should play all games on the highest settings, and future games?

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: As soon as possible!

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: 95% Heavy gaming, currently unable to do that due to integrated graphics Dx

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: 1000 watt Silent Pro Gold PSU

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS:
Intel Core i7-2700k
16GB DDR3 RAM
Asus p8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
1920x1080 25" Monitor

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg, amazon, whichever has a good price!

PARTS PREFERENCES: ATI or NVIDIA, whichever suits best!

OVERCLOCKING: Yes
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe, way off into the future

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 only

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 1 1920x1080 monitor, want to run games at highest settings and no less, want to be able to run games a year or two from now at highest settings without having to upgrade again.

Get a GTX 680, no question.

Yeah I just saw an article about them, I've wanted one of the new gen Nvidia GPU's and it's only $500!

as it stands IF you can get a 680 go for it (there will be short supply)

or wait until the pricing shake up, ATI cards will have to drop by ~$100 in order be worth it.

If ur able to pick up a 7970 for ~$400 thats about right.
