Do we know anything regarding the price of the lower-end cards in the Kepler series? Currently deciding between a Radeon 7850 and a GTX 660.

Same here. I will soon be building a new PC and graphics budget is around £200, so Radeon 7850 or Geforce 660 (i hope) but havent seen any pricing information yet. If the 660 is a bit more but is a lot better than the 7850, might be able to stretch the budget a bit.

Anyone know pricing info for the lower end 6xx series?

What if GTX 680 is the low end card? And as they come out with 685, 690, 695 the prices drop. So say by the time the 695 arrives in say Dec2012 it will be the $500 card and the 680 would be $180 :p  (wonder what AMD would think of that!)

I know nothing of what I speak...just day dreaming :)

You want the 660ti, not the 660.

It seems Nvidia is having problems producing the cards and the GTX 660 or the 660ti will not be out for at least another month.

Jesus, $300-400 for the 660 cards? I can't justify paying that much when the 78xx cards offer overall similar specs.

I seriously doubt it would be that high. The sheet in the video claims the GTX 680 would be $650 and had a lower steam processor count than the actual card that released last week. You can expect the GTX 660 at around $250 and GTX 670 around $300 - $350. The GTX 660 Ti (better to get than the 660) will probably come out in August if you can wait. We can hope they release in April, but ultimately until eVGA releases more information to the public we won't know. eVGA is going to want to push their workhorse the GTX 680 before they sell any cheaper alternatives.

Thanks for the informative post. Yeah, $250 sounds much more reasonable... the GTX 660 Ti is looking like a great option at this point. By the way, how do you figure that the card will launch in August?

Like I'd mentioned before this is still speculation, but that is what the video speculates and that is what I have seen with previous GTX cards in that an enhanced edition releases around August.

This "speculation" despite being outdated just further reinforces the claims being made that the "gtx 680" is really the gtx 660...... This said nvidia needs to lower the pricepoint of it.

^^ are you sure? I doubt it would haev a 192bit memory bus.

Is 192bit too much? You have to remember that this was originally developed to be 640 but after 110 was dropped because it would have been economical suisade, the rest chips were put one step higher.
The sources claims that this is about level of 560 ti and 7850 so it is guite fast chip!

No, the 560ti currently is a 256bit memory interface. I doubt it will be a 192 bit card, it will most likely be a 256bit card.

You have to remember that these use very fast gddr5 memory so wider bus is not needed!

I think the next card will be the 670ti as from the rumours going around the net, look forward to seeing more 600 series cards soon, I'm really curious about the GK110...

Since GTX 570 is only like $400 on Newegg, so I think the 660 will be like $250-$300. The 660 ti will probs be around $300-$350. I really hope it will be closer to $300. And I hope it comes before August. I wanna make a build and play some games over the summer.

I'm very interested in the GTX 660, so now I'm checking the news from Computex every day to see if they're unveiling the card. I'm about to buy a new card, and I was going to just go with the GTX 560, but I would be willing to pay more for a sub-$300 Kepler. The 660 launch (if it happens) will complicate things for me because it may cause price drops for the 560/560 ti depending on the price, but I definitely see the 570/580 dropping in price as a reaction, although I wasn't planning on spending more than $200 on Fermi.

All I'm sayin' is, if the GTX 660 isn't unveiled at Computex, I may just go with a 560 to keep me happy, and it doesn't hurt to have mature drivers to run your hardware on.
