CPU Temp -60C?

I just finished building my PC, and the fan (which I assume is the hyper 212 evo i installed) is making a weird noise. I ran speedfan to find out why and to reduce the speed of it, and i found something interesting. It says my CPU Temp is -60C?

I figure this is not possible.

I am runnign i5 2500K
asus z68 gen 3 mobo

any reason why? also, any help would be great regarding the fan noise.

Sometimes programs don't read the numbers right.

Try something other than Speedfan, like HWMonitor.
