How do I tell if I have AGP, PCI, or PCI-E?

If i install a new PCI how to i see if its working

    well you can tell if a device working if for example the card you have installed gives you signal to the monitor.
  2. PCI-E is longer the the normal PCI, you can tell that by comparing them.

    The AGP is the old GPU socket.

    When u "plug" the GPU in the Socket and connect it via VGA/HDMI/DVI to your Monitor/TV it will give you a signal, if you see it then its fine, continue by instaling the newest drivers and you will be fine :)
