Im looking to upgrade my GTX 460 1GB and im leaning heavily towards the 7950:

My question is would this be a sound investment or should i wait for the GTX670/660 to be realeased (at £430 ($680) the 680 is so far out of my price range it may as well be on the moon: http://www.ebuyer.com/352922-evga-gtx-680-2gb-gddr5-dua...).

My budget is around the £300 ($475) mark, and i want it to be as future proof as possible.

I mainly run games like Crysis, Skyrim, SWToR, WoW, and Diablo 3 when it comes out.

Spec:
i5 650
4GB ram
Corsair HX 650 psu

Although these will change when Ivybridge is realeased.

I have the 7950. A good card. I can max out Crysis and Skyrim with ultra settings and no slow downs (specs in my sig). Oh yea I use 1080P resolution.

If you want to wait for the GTX 670 go ahead. Either way they should be good cards.

Why would you change your setup when IVY is released? Your setup right now is pretty good.

Wait cause the GTX680 release will make AMD drop the price at least $50.

Ahh good man. Very nice of you. The 7950 is a solid card and should last a while. I even overclocked my stock XFX 7950 Core edition last night from 800/1250 to 900/1300 no problem. I only did 1 test though with unigine heaven benchmark 3.0, but no artifacts came up.

Have a good one!
