i PURCHASED AN aCER aSPIRE X1430g RECENTLY UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WOULD PLAY DVDS, CDS, ETC. HOWEVER, THE PANEL ON THE RIGHT SIDE DOES HAVE A PLACE WHERE A DVD/CD MODULE IS, THERE IS NO WAY ACCESS IT. I HAVE SEVERAL PHOTO CDSS I WOULD LIKE TO VIEW, HOWEVER CANNOT FIND WHERE TO ACCESS THE PLACE WHERE THE ACTUAL CD/DVD GOES. PLEASE HELP!

Look for some type of eject button that might open the CD/DVD tray.

If you cannot find that, please contact Acer for your support needs.

Are you sure your desktop has a CD/DVD Drive?

Accordin to the specification, it might be there, it might be not. Open Control Panel | Devices, and check to see whether you have a CD/DVD drive listed. Then, open Windows Explorer, and do a right click on the DVD drive, and click "Eject". If the drive is there, it will pop out.

Finally - press this CAPS LOCK key once. It is considered rude to write in all CAPS, and it makes reading difficult.
