Hi! Seems most of you say that the HD6570 is much better then a GT440 so,

1. Will a HD6570 work on a:
-Pentium 4 631(old one...7 years)
-AsRock G31M-S R2.0?

2. Will it be able to handle games like MW2, WoW Cataclysm, Skyrim?

3. Regarding the Brand:
-MSI Radeon HD6570 Twin Frozr II 1GB DDR3 128-bit
-Sapphire Radeon HD6570 1GB DDR3 128-bit
-PowerColor Radeon HD6570 1GB DDR3 128-bit
-Gigabyte Radeon HD6570 OC 1GB DDR3 128-bit
What shall I buy?

Thanx!

Buy a dual core or a quad core processor first. You're EXTREMELY outdated on that CPU.

However, if I must answer your question:

1. Yes, it will work on that mobo. You have a PCI-Express slot. Whether you have the necessary power supply to run it is another question.

2. The video card should be able to handle MW2 and WoW just fine. Skyrim, on medium settings maybe. AGAIN, this is JUST the GPU, not taking into account your 7 year old CPU which WON'T handle these.

3. Regarding which you should get, all of them are good choices. If I were you, I'd go with Gigabyte or MSI (those twin frozr coolers are nice).

Your PC is archaic by today's standards. Many current games requires a minimum of a dual core CPU. The Pentium 4 631 is a single core CPU with Hyper Threading.

MW2 and WoW Cataclysm do not seem to require a dual core CPU. Based on a Google search a single core CPU meets the minimum requirements. However, Skyrim is heavily dependent on both CPU and GPU. A dual core CPU is required, the faster the better. A quad core CPU is even better than a dual core. Like the vast majority of games, Skyrim makes no use of Hyper Threading.
