6870 crossfire

hello i have a msi 6870 and was wondering if i should get another 6870? if i do would it have to be the exact same one? and if not should a get a xfx 6870 2gb for more vram?

found out that the 2gb vram would be useless as it would be downclocked to 1gb due to the 1gb card
