Hello,
Ok dont know much about computers sooo, i have an Asus K52JC which i got like 1 year ago. The laptop has started dieing about 5 mins into the game. I then have trouble rebooting becasue it died durring either the os selection screen or the windows loading screen. I dont think its the battire dying because its always has about 50% power when i eventually get logod on again. The computer has also been getting very hot as well. Just ask for any other infomation. :D  http://www.asus.co.nz/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K...

You should have it plugged into the wall while gaming.

You should also have it on a laptop cooler like this:

Not a recommendation, just an example.

And, you need to check it for dust. Have it serviced if need be to make sure no dust is clogging the heatsinks on the GPU and CPU.

It needs more air now because the cooling isn't working as well as it should. I believe it is under warranty still and you should make use of that, for sure.

+1 and 100% agree.

Go to Walmart, Staples, etc and get a can of compressed air and blow out the vents really good (unplug and take out the battery). Laptops are notorious for collecting dust in the venting. If the compressed air doesn't do the trick; take it to get serviced.

Quote:
Cleaning the Laptop Fan and Vents to Reduce Overheating
If clogged air circulation vents can cause your laptop to overheat, it stands to reason that cleaning the laptop vents can cure the problem. While laptop overheating can be reduced by cleaning your fans and exhaust vents, cleaning your laptop air vents sometimes can be more complicated than it sounds.

A partial cure can be achieved by blowing compressed air through your laptop’s venting system. To do this, buy a can of compressed air at a computer or photography store, and blast the air into the exhaust vent. This will cause dust to blow out through the fans and air intake ports. You also can use a hand vacuum cleaner to attempt to suck the dust out.

This does not always cure the problem, because if the dust has been in the system for a while, it can become caked onto the exhaust vents and the fans and not yield to an air blast. In this case, your laptop may continue to overheat.

In this situation, you can disassemble the laptop to clean the air pathways and the fans. If you do so, you will almost certainly void any warranty remaining on your laptop due to opening the system. Even if your system is out of warranty, this process requires extreme care. Whenever you disassemble a notebook computer, you risk damaging components by discharging static electricity onto sensitive components, disconnecting cables or connectors, and otherwise making a mess of the sensitive internal workings of your computer.

There are several online guides to cleaning your laptop. If you choose to disassemble your laptop, following these guides or otherwise, the risk is yours, and neither we nor the sites providing detailed instructions will be responsible for the results.
