Is AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black 3.4GHz quad 140 Watts???

Will the AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

work with Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard?

according to that site the tdp of that cpu is 140 watts but when i click on the seller sites it says 125 watts. Want to know before I buy.

    That's not the plus version.
  4. There's two versions ones C2 Stepping which is the 140watt model and the 125watt model is the C3 stepping. C3 revision brought lower power consumption by being able to run at lower voltages. I'm going to assume that PC parts picker has it listed wrong I'd be really surprised if any major retailer would still have 140w C2 stepping still in stock.


    EDIT: By the way that Motherboard only supports the 125w model.
