this is my current machine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883107734

i'm simply trying to play Diablo 3.

i needed a new graphics card so i purchased: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102969&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

after "installing" the graphic card, i realized i needed a better psu, so i purchased: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031

after installing the new psu, i find out, thanks to these forums, that i cannot use the graphics card on my motherboard because it has integrated graphics....or something like that

so do i buy a new motherboard to accompany all of these? or is there anything else i can try?

i'm not very educated on this topic, but any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
please let me know if you need any more information. thanks

Your graphics card should plug in to the x 16 slot on your motherboard . Once installed the motherboard will automatically detect it it , you install the drivers and you are good to go

Just make sure the monitor cable is plugged in to the graphics card and not the motherboard connector .

Try the manual approach . Reconnect the monitor to the mb .
Reboot and enter BIOS [ start up ] by hitting the appropriate key at the prompt .

And as afew88 said find the graphics setting that lets you disable the onboard graphics . Save an exit . Then turn the pc off , change the monitor cable back to the graphics card and reboot
