Approximate Purchase Date: a month or sooner

Budget Range: ~$1000 or lower

System Usage: Lots of multitasking, Gaming (D3), Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, FTP, mamp-like programs, Web browsing, watching/streaming movies/music, skype, screen recording, maybe some video editing.

Parts Not Required: Monitor, Keyboard/Mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg / any better deals from trusted stores

Country: US

Parts Preferences: Intel

Overclocking: Maybe not sure if I will need to.

Monitor Resolution: Currently have a 1440x900 might get a second or upgrade in the future.

Parts I've been looking at:

CPU: Intel i5 3450 or i5 2500K could downgrade
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 6870 is one a lot better than the other?
PSU: XFX Core Edition Pro 550W my friend keeps saying I'll need more power, is this true?
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2x4GB) any benefits of 16GB for what I'm doing?
SSD: Crucial M4 128GB
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
DVD: LG DVD Burner
CASE: COOLER MASTER HAF 922 or cheaper
OS: Microsoft Windows Home Premium

Additional Comments: Not sure if I will be playing any other games besides D3 but I would like to be able to run multiple heavy programs at once without lag if possible, and have the option to upgrade in the future. Could/should I make something cheaper?

Drop the SSD on a sub-1000 build. You can always add those later. Use the $ saved and get a Radeon 7850.
