Screen Resolutions

So I have had installed the HD 6790, when I booted my PC yesterday the resolution when so big so I thought I will install my driver again using the CD when I tried this all I got was "Setup has detected an uncompatitble build, setup will now exit" So then I downloaded the drivers from the AMD site, I used to use the resolution 1920 X 1080, now when I use that resolution its too small, I don't know what is wrong, I even took out my graphics card and put it back in, it still was the same.

Are you connecting your monitor to the back of your graphics card, and not the motherboard?

Yes, I am I have connected it to a VGA to DVI adapter which I got with my Graphics CArd

Your graphics card should have 2 DVI slots, did you try another slot?

Also, when you downloaded driver from here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx did it install successfully?

It does not only has one, I have installed the lasted drivers, I will just have to do a clean install of windows as I think its a issue in my os
