Computer Freezes but I can move mouse/hear sound

Hello
Not sure how exactly how to start this, but I am suddenly having issues where my computer will freeze. I could still hear audio and move my mouse. ie if I am watching a you tube video I can hear the video still going but my computer freeze up.

btw few things that I did to try try to figure out my problem. I did a security scan with MS essential and then a memory diagnosed. I did had two type of virus yesterday not sure if it did cause some damage to my computer or not but I removed it.

then do the virus test in safe mode without network connected and do a malwarebyte check use the free one http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Hey thank you for the quick reply I earlier I decided to leave my computer on to see if it will freeze game. It seem like it did but had the windows loading symbol. I did alt tab delete to take me out but then window 7 said something about secruity options then blue screen of death - suddenly rebooted not loading into windows. I am going to try to reformat if possible. I hope it solves everything otherwise I think my computer is gone

I can't now because it shows that my one of my two harddrives is gone and I must install windows 7 again. Might as well close this thread going to make a new post in storage to help me figure out how to resetup my harddrive again.
