Zotac 560 Fermi - trying to install to Dell Insoiron 8100

I mistakenly bought the Zotac card for my stock Del inspiron 8100.

The Problem the Zotac requires 2 - external PCI power adapters. The Inspiron only has one.

Also, the PSU is 350W, with the new edge connectors, so there is no possibilty of using the power connectors provided with the graphics card to be able to add the 2nd 6pin pci power adapter.

I had a Mad scientist thought of using an old 350W PSU externally and just running the necessary power connector in to the card for the 2nd powerconnector. But I am afraid I will burn up the card or my computer.

Is there anything I can do to use this graphics card with my Inpiron 8100?

ok i googled inspiron 8100...are we talking a laptop here? desktop? a little more info please...because all im finding is a old dell laptop under inspiron 8100

You need a new psu, with dual pcie connectors and more 12v power

It is a Dell desktop Inspiron 8100 XPS I5 with 350watt PSU

The GTX 560 Ti is quite a power hungry graphic card with a maximum power consumption of 218w.

The Corsair 500w PSU recommended by delluser1 should be adequate. I would stay away from the Rosewill PSU though.
