Yeah, im playing BFBC2 and i get around this
45 FPS Low Settings 1024x768
Highest Resolution Low Settings 25 FPS

I just wanna know if 1024x768 is HD?

Solution
no thats actually wrong Senius.
HD is 720p which is 1280x720.And Full HD is 1080p which is 1920x1080.
And the answer to the question is 1024x768 isnt HD.HD has an 16:9 aspect ratio while the resolution youre playing has a 4:3 one.

Ok, so what "P" is 1024x768?

"HD" usually refers to videos, not video games.

The quality of your video game isn't just limited by the resolution, it's also dependent on all the quality settings within that game.

Basically, if you ONLY had support for 1024x768 and could crank up all the quality settings including 8xAA or higher the game would look pretty good which may be more in line with what you are asking.

Low quality on your screen won't look that great.

However, a high quality video on your screen would look quite good. My dad has a RIM Playbook with a width of 1024 pixels. We tested it and I ripped a BluRay to it (movie ripped to 1024x567) then we put that out to an HDTV via the HDMI cable and it looked really great. Not quite as good as a full 1920x1080 movie but still quite good.

HD = high definition. (obviously) SD = Standard definition.

If you look at it in terms of old 640x480 days of SD video, we've all had HD resolutions for many many years on PC. Just because it doesn't fall under a 16:9 ratio or 1080p/720p res does not mean it's not HD by definition. It's better to compare by pixel count in that since.

Anyway, yeah your resolution isn't that great and it's not "HD" but look at it this way. With AA and stuff you get on PC. It can look a hell of alot better than consoles still. (but not on your current GPU of course lol)
