1 router 1 computer connected to modem

Hello,

I am not looking to make my PC wireless. I want the wireless for xbox and mobile phone.

So if I get a double head socket and connect router and pc to one modem.

Will This work

NO, you would connect the router to the modem and then the computer, mobile phone, and xbox to the router.

splitting the connection right behind the modem will not work since your ISP will only give you One IP and it could even damage one of your devices (modem, computer, or router)
