GPU/PSU question

Just bought everything for a new build. Items are:

Intel Core i5-2400
Asus P8V68-V/Gen3
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 8GB (2x4GB)
Asus Radeon HD 6870
Antec Basiq 500w

I was really hoping I could afford a better PSU in this build but I just couldn't. At least I went with Antec, right? Well, my question is this- is the PSU sufficient enough to push the 6870? I'm waiting til morning to install everything, but if you guys don't think this PSU will get the job done then I will return it. I really DO NOT want to spend more than what I did on this, but if I must for the safety of my card, I will.

  1. Sooo does anyone really not have an opinion, or is just "skip over this post" day?
  2. Should be okay as you have 36A on the two 12v.

500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors

even a 13 amp 12 volt rail will run that; your fine. 75watts*2/12volts= 12.5 amps
