One of the things I really liked about Windows 98 were the different sound
schemes, and how you could set whatever sound you wanted to a certain action.
If you didn't like a sound you could change it.
Does anyone know where where I can get more sound schemes than just the
default Windows XP sounds?

Hi,
The same functionality is also available on Windows XP. Go to control panel > Sound, speech and
audio devices > Change the sound scheme. You can assign you own sounds to different events and also
create a custom cound scheme and save it.

Those were the only schemes I could find but they will work for XP.
Double click on the .exe file to extract then right click on the
"install.inf" and select "install". Go to the Sound control applet and
select the scheme.
You could probably extract the schemes from the 98 installation disk. I
don't have one handy so I can't tell you where to look for them...

Hi,
I have created a fantastic sound scheme, but I can't find it (as a package)
when I save the scheme from within the sounds control panel... any ideas?
cheers
