I just almost bought this monitor on newegg because it went on sale but I backed off

Also, what's the difference between the different versions of the video card?
 
if it is a refernece design, nothing. if it is a non-reference design, it has better cooling depending on the manufacturer.

for the monitor, its a glossy screen. this means that you get much better contraast ratios but you have to use it in a dark room because its VERY reflective. i like them becuase i play i a pitch black environment. if not get something with a matte finish
