I have an NVIDIA 9600 GT
Do i need to overclock it inorder to connect my PC to Philips 1080p TV?
Till now i am having annoying black screen flickers - no video signal.

No you don't have to overclock it.
Does it work on a normal monitor, not TV? If it does, do you have the latest drivers (updated them in the past month)? If not, download them from here:
