Laptop won't detect tv

Basically my laptop with a nvidia geforce gtx 460m wont detect an emerson ltdn42v68us tv. I am able to connect my desktop to it however running AMD radeon. Using that I was able to obtain edid information but now I'm not sure whats my next step to add or fix my edid registry on my laptop. Both were connected to my tv using the same hdmi cord. Also I managed to connect my laptop once when first installing extron edid manager but now im unable to connect it again

Did you try pressing WINDOWS_KEY (the one between ctrl and alt) + R?

To bring up the run command? Yes and i ran regedit i think im going to export the registry from the other computer and import to the laptop if this is possible.

Unfortunately that didnt work either do you think its an edid problem? My laptop will connect to other tvs just not this individual tv

Did you try updating drivers? http://uk.geforce.com/drivers

Yes, that didn't work either I also tried uninstalling them using the basic microsoft driver and then reinstalling the updated driver
