He just build a computer with
Intel i7 Extreme
1000 Watt PSU
3x EVGA Liquid-Cooled GTX 590's
64 GB DDR Ram
Windows 7 Home Premium

So, he was soo happy that day the pc came so he asked me to come to his house so we could play some BF3
He started BF3 up and(on medium settings, highest resolution) It was only 1-20 FPS! He was so shocked...

Why....Those GTX 590's shouldn't do that, i think something's wrong.

Help?

First of all is that 64GB of RAM?!?

Windows 7 a 64 bit or 32 bit OS?

32 bit has a memory limit of 4GB and 64 bit has a memory limit of 16GB. So either way your 64GB (if thats correct) is a massive waste, you need 64bit Professional to utilise that amount of RAM.

Now for the cards, thats a beefy smegging watercooled system and i am pretty sure a 1000W PSU is having trouble keeping all that going. Install GPU-Z and check to see if all 3 cards are working fully

EDIT: 1500W should be enough, make sure u have the latest drivers and install/run GPUZ to test them

lol,
He has Windows 7 64 bit Professional, i just didn't pay attention to that because MY pc at home is Home Premium

:??:

The GTX 590 is an extremely poor performer in SLI

In Guru3D's game test suite, it gets 881 fps....adding a 2nd one increases performance only 10% to 982%

Is it in fact possible to run 3 590's in SLI ? Two 590's is quad SLI already .... since each 590 has two GPU's
