Computer freeze when opening AMD Control Center

I was messing around with the AMD VISION Control Center overclocking tool to see if I could get some more power out of my 5970, and when I did a stability test the screen went black for a while eventually crashing the computer. Once the computer started up again I tried to go back into the control center, but every time I attempt to run it, my computer does the same thing it did during the stability test. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything including drivers for the card, but nothing has worked. I don't think the card got fried because everything seems to work normally until I try to open the AMD control center.

If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the reply but I have solved the problem. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but after messing with things for a bit, I pulled out the card, put it back in, and reset the CMOS (nothing was coming on screen when I tried to boot), and then everything worked perfectly.

That's good. Sometimes computers just need that kind of thing.
