Yesterday I finally upgraded my computer.
Everything except the video card.
I have an AMD FX 4100 quad-core processor @ 3.6GHz
4GB of DDR3 @ 1333MHz
Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P mainboard
500w antec basiq
tenda wireless adapter 300mbps (which i may take back,
any suggestions of what to get would also be appreciated, this thing sucks lol)

Right now I'm still using my nvidia 8400GS (512mb ddr2)
I want to play swtor at full settings (as well as games like mass effect 3)
This card obviously doesn't cut it. lol

I don't care about SLI/Crossfire (cause I only have one pci-e slot)
Not a fanboy, I'll use either amd or nvidia.
And noise doesn't bother me.

My budget it like super tight, only $80-$100 or cheaper.

I was thinking maybe this, but I'm not sure.

Thanks guys!

looks like you chose a good card for your budget.
you can see how 6770 performs in mass effect

skyrim

with fx 4100

the 4100 + 6770 combo should work well in the games you mentioned.
nvidia doesn't offer well-performing cards at your desired price range. their good cards start from $160-170 e.g. gtx 560 and higher. meanwhile amd has good entry level cards available like 6670 and 6770.

The 6770 provides good bang for your buck - it normally comes in around $100.00 and it will enable you to play at acceptable framerates on high, assuming you have a decent processor.

I might get a 6770, it doesn't cost much more than the 6670. And it looks like it performs alot better than the 6670.
Thanks for all of the info!
