Display driver stopped responding and has recovered, then BSOD

As the title states, I get the "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" then the BSOD. Would this have anything to do with the fact that Adobe Flash player never properly installs? This happens every once in a while. I am definitely not an expert in these matters, so any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I have this happen on my laptop its a Dell XPS with the Nvidia card they got a class action lawsuit over (the chips overheated because of bad silicon). So I'd be tempted to say theres an issue with the video card being faulty.
