Power Fan MB Connection...

Let me start this off by saying my PSU does not have a power fan connector.

My case is a Thermaltake Commander MS-i and it came with a 3 Pin back exhaust fan attached.

Now whats confusing to me is that whenever that back exhaust fan is NOT connected to the Power Fan connection on the MB, I get a warning that says "Warning Powerfan 0 RPM"

Basically to avoid that warning the back exhaust fan needs to be connected to the Power Fan connector, not a Chasis Fan connector. I find this strange considering it has nothing at all to do with my power supply. Am I missing something here? And is there any harm in just leaving it connected to the Power Fan connector?

No harm, fan will just run full speed
Could go into the bios r monitoring software and disable it from reading the pwr_fan header if you don't want to use it

If your PSU has no fan connector, simply set your BIOS to ignore PSU fan header.
