Hi. New to forum.
I want to upgrade my computer :)

At the moment I have:

~AMD Phenom X4 9350e
~4GB RAM DDR2 400MHz
~680W Power Supply
~ASUS GTX 550Ti 910MHz
~MSI K9M6PGM2-V2 (mobo)

I'm thinking to get:

~ASUS A5M99X EVO (mobo)
~8GB RAM DDR3 1600Mhz
~ and new processor, was thinking between FX-6100 / FX-6200 / FX-8120.
The problem is with processor, I'm not sure which one to go for 61,62,81 fx ??
Hope you all can visit link that compare all three of those processors... :

http://www.dabs.ie/Product/Compare?CompareList=7R42%2C7Y46%2C7R43&CategoryId=11147

What I want is a computer that I won't have to upgrade for another 1-3 years...if possible. I never done any overclocking but I read that with FX series processors it's very easy...

-Is there any new processors that are coming out soon? ( AMD ONLY! )
-Is my motherboard with AM3+ socket will support upcoming processors ( so I don't have to buy new one every time I want to upgrade processor ? )

Sorry for long thread, I appreciate all answers
Thank you!

btw. I'm new into computers and building so if I make few mistakes - sorry :)
+ I'm using my computer to play few games, like Guild Wars 2 / World of Warcraft, both I can run at ultra setting even now, but I got "green light" from my wife to spend some money...

Here's the new newegg email promos: http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Sep-0-2012/weeklysale18/index-landing.html?nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL091812&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL091812-_-EMC-091812-Index-_-E0-_-MoreIT#IT. The zambesi 6100 is on sale for $105 while the biostar A880GZ board is only $40 after rebate. I use the older am3 version of this board, and it overclocks well. It has three overclocking settings built into the bios. All you do is set the overclocking mode to manual and select one of the three. It selects the best ram speed for your overclock. The 6100 should be enough to run your favorite games, but you can spend more if you like. But when you get into the 8120 price range, might as well go with the 3450 Intel ivy bridge for a few dollars more. It's simply a better cpu all around even at the stock speed.

Hi. Since I live in Ireland it's no point looking at promotions on neweeg.com cos shipping would cost 100-200!
I don't know why but I want AMD more than Intel, that's why I'm thinking between FX-6100 , FX-6200 or FX-8120 only.
I have tried to read about them, but every website says different things and after reading few reviews I'm more confused than before... :??:

You said that I should get 3450 Intel for few extra dollars, but then I will have to change Motherboard too.

I've read that Windows 7 is not yet fully optimized to use Bulldozer architecture ... Intel is, so all those benchmarks aren't really accurate... is that true?

Thanks for answer!

Cool, thanks for that!
Not much difference between them, even FX-4100!
Still, those test were done in 2011 and like I said before I've read that Windows 7 was not yet optimized to use Bulldozer architecture...

Thanks again for that! Enough for me for tonight since its 3am... will be looking for newer benchmarks after I get some sleep...
