Will this CPU work with my motherboard?

Hi,
I was looking to upgrade my computer for relatively cheap as I need more processing power for my work. I already have http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2813#ov and an ancient Athlon 64 x2 4400+ which I have oc to a measly 2.7 GHz. I was looking to upgrade to an AMD Phenom II x4 955 B.E. but it isn't in the supported list, despite its bigger brother, the 965, being supported. So, will this processor work on my motherboard and if not, can you please recommend me a similar processor that will.

If the 965 is supported, the 955 will be too; they're both AM3 CPUs.
