I'm deciding between these 2 on which to get. Which one is usually faster in about everything? Are they the same or is one faster than the other in almost everything?

This PC is mainly for gaming, browsing and stuff like that.

I'm leaning towards the Phenom since it's cheaper but, I see people adding the words "BE" after Phenom II X4 965.

Is there some other Phenom 965 or are they all the same lol?

Yes all the 965's are Black Editon's. I would definetly go with the 965 over any of the Bulldozer's. If you are building this computer for gaming at stock clock speeds the Phenom II will out perform the stock Bulldozer.

Ok, and will combining the Phenom with a 970 chipset motherboard be better than combining it with the FX-4100?

Or does this part make no difference?

I don't think it will really make much of a difference in performance.
