Hey guys,
So I've been doing a ton of research trying to figure out what build would give me the best performance for gaming and especially HD streaming for games like starcraft 2. My budget is about $900-1000.
Current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8WT3
I'm pretty happy with the CPU and GPU selections, and I plan on overclocking the CPU to 4.3 or so, and maybe trying the 6950 bios switch to 6970 if that still works. And the motherboard seems like a good deal and isn't lacking anything I need.
I'm just not sure about the PSU, according to some calculators I won't be drawing more than 300 or 400 watts on full load but I'm not sure if I need to give myself extra headroom since I want to overclock. Also I want to be sure that I'm getting a quality product that will last me a few years. Currently I'm thinking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017 since it's on sale this weekend, or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030 perhaps.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, I'm still open to new suggestions when it comes to my build so it's just a matter of figuring out what will give me the best streaming/gaming setup.
