Ok so recently my Dell XPS M1710's GPU burnt out and I had to replace it (It was one of those that had the Nokia GPU with the faulty heat shields). I replaced it easy and put it back together but it still wouldn't turn on, so after taking it apart again and disconnecting and reconnecting a few things as recommended by a tech supervisor, it still won't turn on. I've deduced that the either the CPU is burnt out or the PSU is burnt out or both. So my question is where can I find a compatable replacement CPU (is current CPU is old and Ive found it hard to find a site that sells it) and PSU and how would I go about putting the PSU in?
P.S. This is a laptop and the CPU is a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor.

Hi :)

I own a laptop repair company...i doubt its the cpu...MUCH more likely to be the motherboard... take it to a laptop repair shop for diagnosis...

All the best Brett :)

I don't think it's the motherboard because it does "start up" partially and then shuts down after about a minute of start up.
