Cpu upgrade Dell 1735 Studio

I have a Dell 1735 Laptop that currently has a 1.7ghz cpu and am wondering if I can upgrade to a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500 (2.1 GHz, 2M Cache, 800MHz FSB) Socket P.
Everything on the net I can find says I can use a core 2 processor so long as its 800fsb. Thats as much as I know.
I need some help now.

I would post this on the dell forum, and start shopping for a cooling pad for your laptop. Most are borderline for the standard cpu; adding more power without a larger heatsink may cause heat issues. Heatsinks are proprietary, and don't come with the cpu when purchased new.
