Cant bootup

hi guys.. i need some help

i do not know what is wrong with my desktop. i tried to power on it.. but theres jus no graphic display on the lcd..
the graphic card fan is running n the card gets heated up. is it the graphic card being faulty?

i tried to slot the graphic card into another pcie slot and it did not work either

or is there possibility that the board or the pcie slot is faulty?

Was it ever working before?

Also, are you sure that the cable is connected very securely to both the monitor and the back of the video card? Also are you sure the power cable is securely in both the monitor and the power outlet? Did you try a different power outlet?

Also, are you sure that the monitor is checking the right input stream? You can change which port it listens to for input from VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc. You would do this by hitting buttons on the monitor.
