Heard you could crossfire a nvidia and an amd card together

heard u could put a radeon hd 6790 and a gtx 560 ti together kinda like sli or raid ? Idk if those cards together are accurate but i would like more information on this. Links articles performance anything

raid does not concern gfx cards .it means redundunt array of inexpensive drives.you do hybrid multi gpu if you have a lucid hydra certified mobo only

Panwala95 & azeem40 pretty much covered it. You need Lucid Hydra, which pretty much doesn't work, to do hybrid multi gpu. So it's not worth looking into. Try again in 2 or 3 years.

You can, however, crossfire non-identical AMD cards together. Whereas you cannot SLI non-identical NVidia cards (with the exceptions of 512MB/1GB versions or rebranding such as 9800GTX+ w/ GTS 250). There are driver hacks where you can use an nvidia card as a physx card with an amd gpu.
