Cleaning the PSU case filter

This is a really dumb question as I have searched here and on Google and got nothing. I just simply want to know how long to wait usually to clean the case PSU filter and best way to go about it?

Really it depends on your environment. Here at work I have to clean bi-weekly, its that dusty...
At home I can go a year easily.

Check it after a couple weeks to gauge how dirty it's getting in that amount of time. Then extrapolate out how long that rate of build up will take before you need to clean it.

Using compressed air in the opposite direction of normal air flow works for cleaning. (If you can do so outside and avoid making a mess)

Vacuuming from the dirty side doesn't seem to be quite as effective but it works and makes much less of a mess.
