In safe mode, does the screen resolution always default to 640X480?
Because that's my resolution in safe mode.In normal mode, my
resolution is 1280x1024. And that's the resolution I want for safe
mode. I tried changing the res in safe mode, but it does not change.
How can I insure that the res in normal mode is also true for safe
mode?

Safe mode loads default VGA drivers, not the drivers for you particular
video card, so all you're going to get is low res. The point of safe mode is
to load the minimum required, so that if you're having problems with some
particular driver, you can bypass that.
