Best gaming processor with Nvidia geforce 560

Hi ive got an Nvidia Geforce 560 GTX card with 8GB 1888Mhz ram and i was just wondering if anyone knew what proccesor i should get to go with this. I've always gone with AMD's becuase they seem by the looks of them to be several times faster and stronger than Intel, but there may be somthing that im over looking.

The Ram isnt in the graphics card, the card has 1Gb, the 8Gb is what is in the computer

Intel is a much better choice then AMD.

That was only true during the Netburst/Pentium-4/D days. The P3 was clock-for-clock faster than same-vintage AMD chips and the Core2 put Intel back in the lead.

For most applications and particularly gaming, AMD has nothing that competes with i5 on raw processing power.

I would look at a processor like the Intel® Core™ i5-3570K and the ASRock Z77 Extreme4. That will give a reasonably priced system with a lot of performance.
