Public Display TV

I have been asked to setup a public display monitor in my area at work. The display will show lists of current projects and there level of completion as well as any operational notes. It can have a wired connection but I would like to do it wireless if possible to keep the installation clean. I've never done anything like this before. What should I be looking for as far as hardware? Software? How do I set this up? Thanks...

for wireless you could use Intel's Widi technology
