Games lag at first, but get better...

Here's an interesting situation I've been facing lately... When I go to play Arkham City and GTAIV, both games will start off with very poor frame rate, but if I let a minute, maybe two go by they stop whatever lage/frame rate drop was evident in the first few minutes. In Batman Ill move the camera around quickly and it will freeze up, at first, but after a minute or two (maybe its more like 30 seconds really) I won't experience anything and It'll play perfectly. Anyone have any idea why this is? Is it a loading issue with Ram perhaps? Is windows just "getting used to the game" like one friend suggested. I don't know. Thanks

The same thing happens to me in Skyrim but it only takes a couple seconds to smooth out.I think it has something to do with loading textures.

Your cpu may encounter some troubles while rezing objects, textures, particles etc -- an cpu upgrade, or a OC might get things rezing faster.

ya upgrade the cpu, maybe a e8600 if you can find a used one for cheap. the batman game is hard on all hardware due to coding and current amd drivers.

scratch my last advice, used e8400 on amazon for 90.00. that cpu can overclock to high 3's no problem.

O ya.That CPU is the pentium version.
