Laptop showing as intruder on network

Just purchased a new Router and set it up. Powered up my laptop and its showing it as an intruder and isn't allowing it to access the net. How do I solve this and allow it to connect?

Router is Netgear N300 Wireless Router

Did you setup connection by MAC address on the Router? Check your connection options in the router.

I'm sorry I do believe I had found the issue (N300 Wireless Router - Local Only (Vista)). Vista related (Shocking), apparently wireless, vista, and certain routers don't mix well. I have read possible fixes and had seen updating the network adapter may fix it as well. Have yet to try these but will shortly.

I would take this thread down but I am new and clueless on how to do so. Thanks again though for posting and trying to help me with the issue I've been having.
