basically i want to make a computer that i can use to run after effects semi well. right now i have a lenovel m58(i couldnt resist buying it at just under $100) that i want to modify. the only problem is im kinda on a budgey(a few hundred dollars) because i went over budget on my other computer. i have access to 2 older dell laptops but i doubt that'll help much. but anyways any suggestions on parts would be greatly appreciated thnx. oh yah another thing would it be cheaper for me to make a lower end gaming computer from this or one that can kinda run after effects? if a bad gaming computer would be better give me a list of possible parts. thnx in advance for any advice you give.

not a bad deal for $100

what version of after effects are you planning on running CS5,CS6?

how much is your max budget?
HDD size?
is it a tower or the SFF version?
is the 4gb a single stick or 2x2gb sticks?
do you know the MB model? size uATX, mini ITX?
which OS? Vista 32 or 64? XP or upgraded to win7?
can you see the PSU Model and specs? post them. (+12 rails amps) open connections PCIe/Molex/SATA/4 or 8 pin P4/Cpu plug.
