Hp fingerprint scanner not working with chrome and firefox

I am fed up of this. My laptop is hp pavilion dv7 core i5 and it came from france. The software digital persona fingerprint scanner dont works with google chrome and mozilla firefox. Why is this so? I cant login to my online accounts. It always says that this is not a login page but it works fine with internet explorer but i dont like that crappy browser. So is there any solution for my problem?
