Can anyone tell me, does the sapphire radeon hd4870 1gb card REQUIRE two 6pin power connectors? I have 1000 watt power supply but was only using one 6pin power connector with my old card, not sure if I have two 6pin connectors or just one...Please advise....

If it has two power connectors on the card, yes, it requires that both of them be filled. You can just use a molex to 6 pin PCIe adapter if you don't have the second one on your PSU.

That said, it would be extremely unusual for a 1000W PSU to only have a single PCIe connector. The only reason to get such a high wattage is to run multiple video cards. What PSU do you have?

I gotta be honest, I just got the computer from a friend and I'm not sure what the psu is. my nvidia 8800 gts had 2 power connectors and I just had 1 plugged in.....
