I'm looking to replace my Asus gaming laptop with a desktop, and my budget is $900. Any Suggestions are appreciated, thank you for taking a look.
Approximate Purchase Date: (1 week)
Budget Range: ($900)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: (Gaming---Guild Wars 2 High/Ultra settings)
Parts Not Required: (e.g.: keyboard, mouse, ssd, monitor, speakers)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (Newegg.com, Amazon.com)
Parts Preferences: by brand or type (Prefer Intel and Nvidia and Asus/Asrock MB's but not opposed to other suggestions)
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: (1280x1024)
Additional Comments: (The CPU/GPU/Heatsink/hard drive... I'll buy from Amazon as it's cheaper with no shipping for Prime Members, and the 3550 cpu is $199.99 the price that Newegg has for a 3450 w/no shipping charge)
I think you have it pretty muched figured out, except a little lacking on storage with a 250GB hard drive. What was it you needed advice on? I would say its a fine build for your intended use.
Just want to make sure the motherboard is fine mainly and to make sure there isn't something I'm forgetting, or that could be better within the budget. I decided on the 250gb HD because I've had a 500gb HD several times and never filled it halfway, so I figured I'd buy only what I could use this time.
