Approximate Purchase Date: Within 30 days

Budget Range: $450 before taxes/shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: %100 gaming

Parts Not Required: Hard drive, CD drive, mouse, keyboard, monitor.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: I would prefer to use AMD, however if a better choice, I would go intel

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1600x1200

Additional Comments: I need help on deciding on a mother board and ram for my gaming build. I have currently decided on my cpu, gpu, case, and psu which all in total will cost $333 so far before taxes/shipping. I would sacrifice 4gb of memory to keep in the budget. When it comes to the mobo, I would like to keep it below 75 because I'm not too technically savvy and I don't think I would be able to overclock, however, I would pay more if the mobo is more userfriendly to o/c and whatnot. The main game I will be playing will be cs:go and other steam games, and I would like to achieve 100+ fps on atleast low settings. If you have any advice on a good mobo and ram to go with my build, I would appreciate it. Also, if you have any other tips with the other components I currently have, I would appreciate that too.

Current components planned:

GPU-$150

HIS H685FN1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

CPU-$78

AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX450WFGMBOX

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103886

PSU-$70

Rosewill HIVE Series HIVE-550 550W Continuous @40°C, 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified, Modular Design, Single +12V Rail, ATX12V v2.31/EPS12V v2.92, SLI Ready, CrossFire Ready, Active-PFC Power Supply

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182131

Case-$56

Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, comes with Three Fans-1x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1x Top 140mm Fan, 1x Rear 120mm Fan, option Fans-2x Side 120mm Fan

I chose that PSU mostly because I get $15 off when combined with the Rosewill Challenger case (which is the one I wanted). I figured I would get a $70 psu for $55 than buy a $30 or $40 psu and buy the challenger case separately.

Thanks for your help!

the i3-2120? What about the 955? I ask this because if I spend that extra 20-40 dollars on the cpu, I will have to take that away from the ram and mobo, having to be forced to buy only 4gb and a 60 dollar mobo to stay in budget.
