Additional Comments: This is my first build, but I am familiar with computers and have worked on plenty of laptops and other electronics. I have been working on a build for about 2 weeks straight, and it seems like every time I get close I change my mind, and my ladyfriend is bugging me to get this done so I thought I would post here.

She is going to be playing both low end games like minecraft, and high end games like Skyrim, and she wants to play them on high settings, I had originally planned to build a non-overclocker with an i5-3550 and a radeon hd 6870, but in the interest of future proofing I think the extra money for an i5 3570k is worth it, my idea being that she could run it stock for awhile and in a couple of years when that's not enough, she can buy a CPU cooler and I can overclock it for her.

Also, I don't see any crazy good deals on graphics cards, and I'm not sure which one I should go with, so I might not order one yet and she can play on integrated graphics until I find a good deal on a $200ish card.

I was trying to combo everything and save some money but the power supply I picked had a decent rebate and wasn't combo-able so if you guys know of any good combos that would be awesome.

Sorry for the long read, on to the build:

NZXT Crafted Series Vulcan Black Steel / Plastic Gaming mATX Computer Case

Intel core i5 3570k & ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 micro ATX motherboard combo (Does anyone know about this mother board? Not a lot of reviews, it seemed like the best budget micro atx board)

OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply (I picked this power supply because it looked decent and had a good mail in rebate)

G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (Unless I can find a combo for ram)

Hard drive: She wanted a 2tb hard drive, so I was going to get her a 2tb and get her a SSD when the prices drop but I checked almost all of the 2tb hard drives and it seems all of the less expensive 2tb hard drives have bad reviews and low warranties.

Honestly, in a couple of years, a new build will be needed due to the expectations on how much technology will evolve by then. I recommend the i5-3450 since she won't be OCing for a few years (it is $10 cheaper than the i5-3550 and better price/performance). EVerything else looks peachy. I recommend a Caviar Green 1TB along with a Crucial M4 128GB SSD. The SSDs can be found well below $1/GB.
