Is i3 2120 good for gaming?

I know you's are all going to say "Fork out the extra and get an i5" but I simply CAN'T! I'm on a tight budget! (€500)

Also another question, will the i3 bottleneck a 7770 running at 1.1ghz?

Heres the cart I'm planning on buying.. Am I missing any parts?

Anyway, yeah :)

Thanks, Dylan!:)

  1. Yes, the i3-2120 is good for gaming. It definitely won't bottleneck a 7770. However, I think an i3-3220 is a better deal now.

Haha, how much better? My cart is on €499.97 and I really can't go overboard! :)

Can you check my cart and see if I'm missing anything essential? I have a harddrive here!:)
  3. 5-15% better. If it's more expensive and you can't afford it, don't sweat it. The 2120 will still do fine.

The only thing apart from the HDD that seems to be missing in your pic is an OS.
  4. I also have an OS here! Well thanks so much for your help:) Now to begin the transition from console to pc!:D
  5. Cool - porting console gamers is a lot better than porting console games. ;)

Hahaha! I like it!:') Well thanks for your help!:D
  7. The I3 will do just fine in games. Most games only use one or two cores so a dual core I3 will do fine.
