Half the FPS until re-boot?

Hi, I have a GTX 460 1gb and it is clocked at 875 core, 2000 memory, and 1750 shaders. When I play BF3, it runs fine. When I open BF3 back up, I get half the FPS until I reboot. Does anybody know why?

Thank you

More about half boot
  1. was going to say you need more ram, but you dont (thats what the problem sounds like)
after looking over your pc specs i say you need a better psu! put that junker on a htpc or something. (not that i think its related to your problem, just insurance for a nice system.)

Not to be rude in correcting you, PC Power and Cooling makes soem of the best PSUs on the planet. I don't think I will be changing anytime soon.
  3. its not rude, its just not a brand i dont recognize, which instantly puts it in the bin.
    thanks for the correction

    Haha! Cool.

Do you have any ideas besides memory? I don't think I use past 5gb RAM often, so I don't think that is it like you said. I am kinda boggled. :??:
