27dB at 1000 rpm isnt real quiet...not extremely loud either. Considering that it is only running at 1000rpm it isnt the best. I'll link to a fan that runs at 1200rpm and only put out 24dB of sound:

No problem, click on the link. Get fan Model Number, then just google the model number, should be able to locate a source in the UK

I would recommend the Sickles. They are the best case fans to get if you want "airflow and quiet"
